Shoplifting

Shoplifting in Georgia or Florida means stealing retail merchandise either through concealment, by switching price tags or simply by rolling merchandise in a shopping cart out the door with the intent not to pay. Shoplifting items that total less than $300 are a misdemeanor. Shoplifted items totaling over $300 are a felony. Repeated shoplifting offenses of items less than $300 may also result in felony charges. You need to understand and protect your rights, and the only way to be sure of doing so is to hire an attorney with experience in dealing with shoplifting cases. Even if you are caught shoplifting there may be programs an attorney can negotiate for you that will ultimately end in dismissal of the charges against you. The Alpharetta office of The Siemon Law Firm is in close proximity to North Point Mall and our attorneys are very experienced in this area of law.
