Even though the court has ruled and rendered a final judgment that sets guidelines for child custody, child support, visitation and alimony, it does not guarantee that court orders will be followed. If you are frustrated with trying to get your ex-spouse to abide by court orders, it may be time to take legal action. There are a number of approaches and options that can be taken to enforce a court order. Georgia and Florida statutes address what can be done, and as your family law attorneys, we can evaluate your case and advise on available remedies. Some of the actions that can be taken include garnishing wages, attaching property, filing contempt applications and obtaining warrants.
