Child Support

The new guidelines in the State of Georgia, effective January 1, 2007, and the similar guidelines previously implemented in the State of Florida involve complex calculations. Attorneys at The Siemon Law Firm, P.C. have undergone numerous hours of continuing legal education so that they can competently and effectively assist in negotiating a settlement or zealously represent you in court, if needed. Child support is the monetary payment made each month to support the care of a child after a couple has separated or divorced. If you are unable to arrive at a child support amount through mutual agreement, the court will calculate and order a child support payment. Factors that are considered in determining child support include, but are not limited to, both parents’ gross income, health, life and dental insurance premiums paid, extraordinary health and education expenses, and day care cost.

With offices in Northern Georgia, the Siemon Law Firm offers legal help to residents of Fulton and Forsyth County including Cumming, Alpharetta, North Atlanta, Gainesville, Roswell and Duluth, GA.  Additionally, the firm offers representation in Florida courts.
